Our favorite thing about classic, white modern dinnerware is its incredible versatility when it comes to styling the table! While our Blue Bay Dinner Plates pair perfectly with the rest of its collection, we have recently been loving these simple, gold-rimmed plates as the jumping-off point for a stunning and fashionable place setting. This fall, we decided to turn a new leaf and experiment with six other collections, mixing and matching bold styles and accessories to make our mark on tables everywhere this holiday season. Here’s what we came up with...
Bold Opulence
First up, we have our Vintage Jewel Salad Plates. We pulled black and gold out of the scrollwork pattern along the rim and paired this plate combo with other champagne-tone accents such as the Colebrook 5-piece Place Setting. Having created an instant gothic feel, we decorated our table with a dark cloth and other deep tones such as the fall leaf spread and a glass of bold red wine. This is the perfect tablescape for setting the autumnal mood.
Sweet Romance
Keep it simple with Opal Innocence Flourish Accent Plates! Here, we stacked the Blue Bay dinner plate with a sweet and feminine pattern that can be dressed up for any season. Looking forward to the holidays, we set the table with fringed cloth napkins and a collection of pumpkins and gourds that complement the dishes while adding to the understated, vintage vibes that this pairing brings to the table.
Subtle & Subdued
Calling all nature lovers! Take a break from the rush of the holiday season with a calm table setting. Start by stacking your Blue Bay dinner plates with our Textured Neutrals Accent Plates, and then pull elements from nature to bring out the design of this beautiful pattern. We placed a sprig of wheat on top of burlap napkins which ties the whole table together while bringing crisp fall vibes into the dining room.
Cheerful Stripes
Santa Claus is comin’ to town! Next up is our Holiday Handpaint Stripe Dessert Plates. This plate speaks for itself when paired with simple Christmas dinnerware and brings the table to life with its bright pattern. Topped with a red-striped rim and painterly holly leaf design in the center, these plates don’t need much more to create a fun and festive table. However, we paired our setup with evergreen and glazed pinecones for an added Christmas touch!
Whimsical Winter
Perfect for entertaining all winter long, we centered this design around the charming Balsam Lane Accent Plates and set our table with a tree stump place mat and pine needle decorations. These neutral touches ground the creamy white Blue Bay dinner plates while pulling accents out of Balsam Lane’s beloved winter scene of lush trees, log cabins and gold stars. We topped each plate off with cinnamon sticks and a name card for every guest.
Modern Nature
Our final place setting features Holiday Impressions Dessert Plates. These stoneware dishes come in two unique, imprinted designs that are perfect for the holidays: evergreen and holly with berries. Inspired by the warm undertones of this rich green color and the gold rims of our Blue Bay dinner plates, we topped the table off with gold-tone flatware and sweet-smelling, dehydrated orange slices.Which style is your favorite?
