NYE: Match Drinks To Your Party Style

Cheers to the hosts—you truly do the most! If you’re planning a New Year’s Eve party to usher in 2024, why not make it easier on yourself? Instead of serving anything and everything when it comes to celebratory beverages, choose ONE drink—and make it even more party-perfect with elevated glassware. We’ve selected four personality types based on how people like to party, plus a drink and glassware option we think each would enjoy. Here’s to a new year and a new YOU—the host who entertains without overwhelming oneself!

You’re Classic

It’s your PERFECT New Year’s Eve party. You’ve invited your nearest and dearest. You’re wearing your best little black dress. While waiting for the ball to drop, you’re preparing easy-peasy champagne cocktails for everyone in attendance.

Your Drink: Champagne Cocktails
Your Glassware: Champagne Flutes

What You Need:

  • Champagne
  • Brandy
  • Sugar cubes
  • Your favorite flavor of bitters
  • Something sparkly for stirring

What You Do:
  • Prep ahead by adding dashes of bitters to sugar cubes.
  • Fill champagne flutes halfway with brandy.
  • Add sugar cubes to glass.
  • Top with champagne, stir, and enjoy!

You’re Cool

The ball’s about to drop—why be behind the bar? If you’re a laid-back host that likes a fun time to feel fun, prep drinks ahead so you can party along with your guests! We suggest a serve-yourself punch…one that’s a little more interesting than the usual. (Kinda like you!)

Your Drink: Spiced Apple Sparkler Holiday Punch
Your Glassware: French Perle Tall Stem Glasses + Pitcher

What You Need:

  • Pressed apple cider or apple juice
  • Whole cloves
  • Whole cinnamon sticks
  • Fresh nutmeg, shaved
  • Sparkling apple cider
  • Apple-flavored vodka
  • Sparkling white wine
  • Fresh lemon
  • Ice

What You Do:

  • In a medium saucepan, bring apple cider or juice and spices to a boil.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes, then cool in fridge.
  • Strain the juice through a sieve and into the pitcher to remove spices.
  • Add vodka, sparkling wine, sparkling apple cider, and lemon juice to pitcher. Give it a good stir.
  • Let guests help themselves! Leave fruit and fun stirrers for garnish.

You’re Fabulous

New Year’s Eve doesn’t happen every day. And nobody throws a party like yours! If you want to push posh to its most memorable, present guests a drink as bright and bubbly as the year ahead. Then adorn it accordingly with a boutonniere-inspired garnish.

Your Drink: Sparkling Pear and Ginger Cocktail
Your Glassware: Coupe glasses

What You Need:

  • Pear and ginger cocktail syrup (purchased or prepared in advance)
  • Elderflower liqueur
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Sparkling white wine
  • Pear slices for garnish

What You Do:

  • Add ½ ounce each of pear and ginger cocktail syrup, elderflower liqueur, and lemon juice to a frosted coupe glass.
  • Top with sparkling white wine and gently stir.
  • Add garnish—ours are fanned pear slices secured with a fancy skewer.

You’re Alcohol-Free

If you’re hosting teens or your crew prefers an alcohol-free shindig (and no headaches the next day), there’s no reason your drinks can’t be fun and festive too! A cute, artisanal mocktail will get you in the spirit (if not the spirits).

Your Drink: Sparkling Ginger Cranberry Mocktail
Your Glassware: Tuscany Stackables

What You Need:

  • Granulated sugar
  • An orange
  • Unsweetened cranberry juice
  • Ginger beer
  • Candied ginger and cranberries

What To Do

  • Mix granulated sugar with orange zest on a plate to create orange sugar.
  • Run an orange wedge around the rim of the glass. Dip the rim of the glass into the orange sugar.
  • Once the rim is ready, pour the unsweetened cranberry juice and ginger beer into the glass. Stir.
  • Add cranberries and candied ginger for garnish.
